| "We're going all-out to launch the IMBA Ride Center program with a big splash," says board president Hill Abell. "IMBA is uniquely positioned to build these centers. As a non-profit, we can facilitate partnerships between private industry and public land agencies, allowing us to build model trail networks on an unprecedented scale, and of unprecedented quality. This breakfast allows us to present our vision for incredible mountain biking communities and destinations." |

| My dirt dream melds all the best aspects of Fruita, Whistler, Kingdom Trails and Moab—never-ending singletrack, beautiful vistas, a killer bike shop, great places to grab grub, a cool campground or comfy B&B, a pub, a coffee shop. In short, a full-featured mountain bike mecca for epic rides as well as a great place for me to bring the whole family without driving all day to get there. |

Imagine a facility that serves as your community hub for all things mountain biking. A place with trails for all abilities, riding clinics and progressive skills-building areas for cross-country, freeride and downhill.
It sounds like a grand plan, and it is. The International Mountain Bike Association calls these facilities IMBA Ride Centers, and they’re the core component of a major new initiative that was announced at a breakfast presentation at Interbike on Thursday. |
